- a tool to bond and a bloody useful one at that so why would he choose not to use it
- and im just imagining all the horrible senarios where q gets his heart broken by bond one too many times and he finally starts saying no to
- and thats the problem right there isnt it
- and thats where the angst comes in because thats just heartbreak (most usually q’s) waiting to happen
- and then we have Bond who clearly knows all of this and uses it to his advantage like he was trained all his life to
- and theres still the attraction sure but its dimmed to nearly nonexistent and bond absolutey HATES it
- as if I didnt go looking for it
- attraction too of course which bond usually ignores unless its useful to him
- because q has always treated bond differently than others
- bond who’s slowly noticed that Q been acting differently
- but then it happens and im crying and going HOW DARE YOU
- cue bond not realizing that he adored the way q looked at him (like he was worth the affection & care & considerstion that q always gave)
- finally feeling a bit like his old self and hes no longer mooning after bond like some school girl
- his outrages requests (always wanting something from q but never wanting q himself)
- I have way too many feelings about these two
- im about to upload this for my camp nano word count god damn
- im such a loser because im such a sucker for good angst
- its exhausting and so q does the only thing he can and gives up hope that one day bond will look at him and see more than just someone
- like I want my heart to be ripped out and fucking stomped on
- of course now we get bonds side of things
- q is an asset
- so obviously unable to say no to the man
- so q gets over him and things are finally starting to be okay maybe hes started casually dating again or maybe not but either way hes
- the angst is just so potent in this ship because you have Q who is entirely devoted to Bond time and time again
- until it was gone
- useful to have under his thumb
- which is ridiculous because when he compares the way q treats him to the way he treats everyone else bond doesnt see a difference
- why am I writing an entire novel in the damn tags AGAIN
- with just a touch of favoritism and poorly concealed affection
