Andrew being gentle with Neil

• andrew has seen neil flinch multiple times when older men raise their voices and he knows it’s because neil is remembering his father
• but andrew makes it a point never to raise his voice at neil 
• if neil ever jars awake from a nightmare Andrew holds him gently and reminds him that he is Neil Josten over and over again
• and then he runs his fingers through Neil’s curly hair and kisses his forehead
• When Neil becomes vice captain and some of the newer players aren’t listening to him Andrew will put his hand on Neil’s back as a sign of support 
• Andrew leaning his forehead against Neil’s after a long day 
• Andrew being the big spoon and draping his arm over Neil’s hip and drawing small circles on Neil’s body 
• Andrew bringing Neil coffee during finals week or keeping him company in the library while he studies or even quizzing him on hard concepts 
• Andrew playing with Neil’s fingers when they lay in bed together 
• Andrew whispering to Neil in Russian to calm him down 
• Andrew holding Neil against his body if he ever thinks about Lola and his father
