i recently posted about an idea i had, and a lot of you guys were up for it!! so on friday (april 14), saturday (april 15), and sunday (april 16) there’s going to be a rewatch of part 2 of the get down on twitter. (do it any day, every day, whatever you want.) all of our tweets will contain the hashtag #renewthegetdown. baz said the more tweets containing the tag the better. there’s no set time: livetweet whenever you want. i realize there’s people all over the world who want to participate, so having a set time would be difficult to arrange. along with the #renewthegetdown hashtag in your tweets, you can even directly @ netflix and sonypictures. and honestly, if you can’t livetweet during these three days, you can absolutely do it anytime. i just wanted there to be 3 specific, set dates during a weekend where we can all work together and write as many tweets containing the tag as possible. again, do it literally every day if you want, live your best tgd life.

in the meantime, here’s what you can do:

• sign this petition – stephen adly guirgis(co-creator/writer, exec producer of tgd) retweeted this. it takes 5 seconds and it’s incredibly easy, just write your name and email. even if it surpasses the 1,000 signatures, keep going!!
• tweet #renewthegetdown even without the livetweets. every tweet matters!!
• google search “the get down” to make its interest rise. netflix, sony, etc. will see the rise in popularity/searches.
• read this post!!!
