It’s August 21 – Fanfic Writer Appreciation Day!

We’d like to help spread the love! So, if you have any favourites you think should get more attention, from other writers or also your own, reblog them here/send us a link so we can reblog.

In addition to that, here are a few more things you can do today:

  • Reblog fics to your own blog. Write something nice in the tags if you want. Help make those fics visible and add your thoughts about why people should read them. Or just reblog. Reblogs are worth SO MUCH.
  • Leave a nice comment. On new things you’ve just read, but also go back over your old favourites and let the author know you still reread them. Getting a comment on an old fic and finding out people haven’t forgotten about it can make someone’s day as much as getting appreciation for a new work.
  • Send some nice messages to authors. Tell them what you like about their writing. Which ones are your favourite fics of theirs? Let them know. Or just tell them you appreciate them and their writing. It means a lot!

Fanfic takes a lot of time and patience and love to create, and it’s free! So let’s go give something back to the writers. Let’s go give them all the love we can. ❤
