Some of my favourite tropes for 00Q are as follows:
• fake relationship when Q is in the field with Bond
• Bond has a thing for Q’s hair and/or neck
• Bond breaks into Q’s home
• Q gets kidnapped and Bond saves him (or, alternatively, Bond kidnaps Q)
• Bond brings Q little souvenirs and/or sends him postcards from his missions
• banter, so much banter, every single time
• Bond flirts with Q and uses lots of innuendo – Q remains cool as cucumber on the outside but on the inside…
• Q is the youngest Holmes brother
• Bond visits Q Branch every chance he gets (and terrorizes the minions while he’s at it)
• size difference (Bond carries Q to bed/wherever, Bond pins him to the wall, etc etc)
• Bond is possessive and protective over Q
