snarkity snark snark

Late Nights in the Bond household.
Jack is one of Q’s favourite companions in study. He never disrupts and he reminds him of M.
This scene, for me, was a scene that made me long for the scene that was omitted from the original script in favour of the ridiculous watch scene that played out with Madeleine Swann.
I was so worried for Q, so concerned that ‘they’ were going to get him and hurt him. I was so worried that he wouldn’t be able to get away from them. The idea of anyone laying a finger on him was too awful to contemplate because he had been built up as this sweet-natured guy who laughs at his own jokes and disarms people both literally and figuratively. The scene with Bond in his lair seemed to emphasise that. Q disarms Bond. He softens him. He brings out a side of him that very few people bring out.
Imagine Bond in a situation where Q, that cute kid with the gadgets and the crap jokes, is in mortal peril because of his loyalty to Bond.
Imagine the impact that scene would’ve had.
ugh, I’m honestly hoping the writers decided to nix the abduction scene because they anticipated doing another film with craig and wanted to save the q endangered angle for the final film. Maybe? They knew they couldn’t top it? Because otherwise I can’t forgive them cutting the original scenes.

Blood, Sweat And Bond [ Behind the Scenes of SPECTRE ] feat. Ben Whishaw as Q.
There are actually cat quarters set up in Q’s lab! How did this not get recognition in the movie?
