“When I came to shoot the scene in Infinity War, I think it’s very powerful he calls himself an Odinson, and that closes the whole journey of Loki.“ – Tom Hiddleston at Ace Comic Con Panel.
Hiddleston as Loki forever will be missed.
I’m not crying, you are.Source.
I love when characters describe events but the way they describe them is just ever so slightly wrong. Not like they’re lying–but the way they tell the story shows their biases and values and blind spots.
It’s often characterization through omission. The things they leave out can be just as telling as the things they include, and it’s a great way to convey subtle details about their personality and priorities that are otherwise difficult to get across.
Of course like anything else you gotta take care not to go overboard–this device in particular is easy to miss the mark with because you don’t want to ever get repetitive–but gosh when you pull it off well it’s a wonderful thing
This!
And, when characters give biased descriptions of other characters.
*happy sigh*
cats are so fake like they’re theoretically related to apex predators and yet they weigh 8 pounds, sleep 20 hours a day, and scream if you feed them half an hour later than usual
I deeply sympathize because I also like to sleep an unreasonable amount and yell when hungry.
incidentally, you are also an apex predator
apex predators are over-hyped, we’re all just tired and whiny.
Reblog if you, too, are tired and whiny.
