I think the worst thing you can do when you join a new fandom is read the best fic first. Especially if it’s a long fic? Then you start off with such high standards. Every other fic is mediocre at best and then you’re screwed. Start off with one shots please, trust me. I’ve made this mistake too many times in the last 4-5 years.
