My version of an asexuowl ❤
(please reblog, don’t repost, thanks)
Tag: asexuality
Asexuality is not some exceptionally rare, impossible thing. Even using the common 1% estimate (which many people think is low), that’s 3.2 million Americans. If you met someone who said “Hey, I’m from Chicago”, you wouldn’t tell them that you didn’t believe them, because people from Chicago are only about 1% of the population. “You’re really from New York or California. Statistically, that’s far more likely.“ That would be ridiculous.
My Sexuality Does Not Define Me
Adults: Kids these days are so obsessed with sex. Current media trends are corrupting our children. Sex is everywhere!
Asexual kid: I’m asexual.
Adults: Oh, you just haven’t been exposed to enough sex to understand. Once you learn more you’ll grow out of it.
Given that the nation still debates the freedom to express sexuality — exemplified by things like the battle for marriage equality — it’s no wonder we tend to ignore individuals who want freedom from sexual relationships altogether. But asexuality does exist — and it’s not the same thing as having low libido or being celibate, abstinent or a virgin.

Reblog if you think it’s important to learn about asexuality in sex education
Yes. Also, Health class should just be watching Laci Green videos.
Her asexuality video is what made me realize that I am asexual.
I wrote a poem on asexuality
I look around
Nothing to see
I smile at them
But they don’t please
I look for something
Feeling broken inside
“He is sexy”
I often lied
I feel broken
What’s wrong with me?
I turn to the internet
To ask and plee
I get lots of messages
trying to explain me
I found a word that fits
Asexuality
I finally figured it out
there are people who are alike
It took a while to know
But it was worth the hike
Protect asexual boys who are afraid to come out because the world expects “real men” to be hypersexual.
