hi.. i don’t know if you take questions about your fic “important”, but if you do…i was wondering…WHY DID RAPHAEL FIRE TITUS?! >.< i mean he also helped save his life! not that i am mad…but it's driving me CRAZY!! i want to know ahhh!

juilawicker:

omg you’re so cute YOU CAN ASK ME ANYTHING ANYTIME

raphael actually fired both simon and titus, not only titus. i mean this is raphael dude like he knows he survived and he knows these two men saw him at his most vulnerable and that is just,,,, unacceptable to him. so the minute he’s coherent enough to make decisions and actually speak without having to gasp for breath he’s like, ‘lol both of you are fired’,,, but like. separately ofc

and titus accepts it, he does, because i mean……that’s some intense shit right there and even though he needs this job, man, raphael just went through something that titus was never actually supposed to a) see and/or b) intervene in

but simon is…….simon

Raphael giving Simon terrible advice re: Clary on purpose (!!!!)

No I mean actual Saphael, not Raph pining after Simon xD

No but like this actually works perfectly because yeah in the beginning it’s totally a one-sided thing where Raphael’s pining after Simon (which Raphael completely denies because the leader of a vampire clan does not pine) and listening to Simon go on and on about Clary exhausts him in ways being alive for so long never has. So yeah sure Raphael starts giving him horrible advice when it comes to wooing Clary but it’s only because if he has to suffer through hearing Simon talk about it all day he might as well be getting some kind of amusement out of it.

Only, somewhere along the line every other word out of Simon’s mouth stops being about Clary and his questions start getting more vague. “How do I get her to see me that way” becomes “How do I get someone to see me that way.” But it’s also around the same time that Raphael decides to finally take pity on him and starts giving him real advice like “play her a song” or “make sure she knows she comes first.” And when Simon starts spending a little more time around Raphael and the clan he assumes it’s just Simon finally accepting what he’s become. Only that doesn’t explain why suddenly Simon’s following him around and smiling at him and trying to play him songs… Aaaannd cue lightbulb moment! Maybe he should’ve seen it sooner but he thinks Simon is still hung up on Clary and it’s not like Raphael was expecting Simon to use his own advice on him.
