‘Why does everyone think we’re dating??? What the he- wait, are we dating?’ Sciles prompt

anomalagous:

Stiles has just about been sitting in the booth at the local coffee shop long enough to get fidgety by the time Scott returns, hands laden down with hot drinks and a plate with a pair of muffins precariously perched on them. That’s enough to soothe his restless heart; Stiles perks up, scooting his body to the side as Scott joins him on the same bench in the booth, their elbows rubbing comfortably. “Ohhhhh, apple crunch muffins. Thanks, babe!”

“I didn’t get it for you,” Scott says, his voice mild and distant like he’s been stunned, “It was on the house, from the barista.”

Thoughtfulness washes in and Stiles lifts his eyes to consider the girl behind the counter, evaluating her expression, her appearance, why she might have sent him a free muffin. It distracts him enough to allow Scott to follow up with the equally distant and mild, “She said she’d noticed that my boyfriend really liked them and that he’d looked kind of stressed, lately.”

Stiles chokes on the first bite of caramel-apple-deliciousness.

fic prompt? should you so choose! Black Sails – Silver/Flint — While of course the stories about the captain liking to fuck men are true, Silver figures out (or somehow Flint lets it slip) that Flint was actually in love with another man. Silver is surprised and fascinated because he thought Flint was as stone cold as his name.

farashasilver:

Oooh, I like this one. Takes place during 2.08.

It wasn’t so much odd to have a woman on board – Silver had learned long ago not to underestimate the women who made their lives on the sea – but it was odd to have a gentlewoman like Miranda Barlow. The Ashe girl mostly kept to herself, quiet and shrinking as a mouse, scribbling in her diary. Not so with Barlow, who took turns around the weather deck when it suited her, whether she was on the captain’s arm or not.

Perhaps that was the oddest part. This mess in Nassau had given Silver to realize that James Flint was not as impervious as he liked to present, and he had thought Miranda to be one more piece of evidence that Flint was no true pirate, but a gentleman playing at the trade. Certainly Flint was as ruthless as they came, and both Silver and the crew knew with certainty (and intimacy, on Silver’s part) that the captain indulged in buggery when it suited him, but his manner with the Barlow woman was yet different than any of the sides Silver had seen of him so far. If he had doted on her, that would have been one thing, but they seemed to be easy and strained with each other by turns, and Silver couldn’t puzzle out the reason.

Change the background colour of the pages to a mint green shade.

It is said that green is a calming colour, however, the main reason why I like this, is because I can write for a much longer period of time now, as a white background I used before made my eyes dry and exhausted after just a few hours of working.

It is basically much more soft and careful to the eyes. I can’t precisely explain why that is. I think it’s that by making a pinch softer contrast of the text and the background, your eyes does not get exposed to as much light.

Just make sure to not make the background too dark, or else your eyes will get exhausted do to over-fixating the lack of contrast between text and background.

And maybe you find a nice pastel/light background shade that fits you; give it a try.

Different things work out and fits for different people. And I just felt like sharing this.

Here’s the shade numbers I used to get my preferred colour:

DUDE

You just solved a very real problem for me! Thanks!

For those who might not know where to find this: It’s in the Page Layout tab.

I had no idea this was possible before today!

you can also do this with google docs under FILE > PAGE SETUP !!

I used to use a lavender background way back on my old Win 95 computer… I don’t know why I never carried that habit over to future computers, tbh…

if you use OpenOffice you can do this under format > page

  • AM I NOT GOOD ENOUGH FOR YOU GRANDCHILDREN?
  • WELL FUCK YOU
  • MAYBE I WON’T EVEN HAVE KIDS AND YOU WON’T EXIST
  • HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT THAT

what if we have tho

what if we just didn’t know they were our grandkids

what if your best friend has to constantly remind themselves not to call you grandma/grandpa
