Beyblade fic scraps: Boarding School AU

stariceling:

I had a Beyblade ficlet I was going to post today, but then I went to look something up while editing and turns out I remembered the timing of things in the episode completely wrong and characters are not where I thought they were so it doesn’t work at all. (At least this one I might be able to salvage and rewrite. I did this a month or two ago and that one will have be scrapped for parts.)

So instead please accept some fragments and scenes from an AU I was fiddling around with that was probably always doomed for lack of plot. It has goodnight kisses.

Change the background colour of the pages to a mint green shade.

It is said that green is a calming colour, however, the main reason why I like this, is because I can write for a much longer period of time now, as a white background I used before made my eyes dry and exhausted after just a few hours of working.

It is basically much more soft and careful to the eyes. I can’t precisely explain why that is. I think it’s that by making a pinch softer contrast of the text and the background, your eyes does not get exposed to as much light.

Just make sure to not make the background too dark, or else your eyes will get exhausted do to over-fixating the lack of contrast between text and background.

And maybe you find a nice pastel/light background shade that fits you; give it a try.

Different things work out and fits for different people. And I just felt like sharing this.

Here’s the shade numbers I used to get my preferred colour:

Thanks for reading.

DUDE

You just solved a very real problem for me! Thanks!

For those who might not know where to find this: It’s in the Page Layout tab.

I had no idea this was possible before today!

you can also do this with google docs under FILE > PAGE SETUP !!

I used to use a lavender background way back on my old Win 95 computer… I don’t know why I never carried that habit over to future computers, tbh…

if you use OpenOffice you can do this under format > page

I discovered this by accident and I thought it was really funny and cute:

1. Download the template from MyScriptFont website

image

2. Write out the alphabet and numbers in your style, using a black marker (felt pen). This is mine:

3. Scan the template
4. Upload to the MyScriptFont website, name it, set the format and click “send file”
5. Download it to your computer and install

And check out my result!
