Harry decided to recruit Eggsy quite suddenly, didn’t he? It’s not like he’d been keeping tabs on the boy, and was able to anticipate their meeting.
So, who was Harry’s original candidate? Did he have another down-on-their-luck young man or woman in mind? Or was he bluffing with Arthur and he had a high class brat all picked out already?
How did he tell them that he’d changed his mind? And do they ever get to meet Eggsy, long after V-day, when Harry steps to Arthur’s seat and half of the chairs around his table are empty?
I’m all for Eggsy seething quietly as Harry brings in a new candidate, his real one, to go through the test. Maybe Harry’s known this person for years, since they were a kid, and Eggsy hates the easy familiarity they have together. How this…this toddler, a year younger than Eggsy, easy, actually touches Harry all casual like they get to do it all the time.
Give me all the quiet pining and all the feelings of inadequacy. Give me Harry raising his eyebrows at Eggsy’s almost cold demeanor when the other kid is around, not a hint of his South London accent during his debriefs, refusing to look anywhere but the point just over Harry’s shoulder.
(Give me the kid being Harry’s distant nephew/niece or something, doing their own pining after Roxy, or hell, even Eggsy.)
okay but think about a catch me if you can hartwin au for a second.
like eggsy as the con man who went from a nothing kid to a fake pilot, to a fake doctor, and beyond. cashing forged checks. getting in with all the posh birds who like it a bit rough.
and then there’s harry. working for whatever the british version of the feds. head of a task force to track down this master con man. chasing him all around the country on a set of very poor leads. and half glances
once eggsy figures it out of course he’s a little shit, leaving little hints behind for harry . calling him up on christmas just to be like “how you doing?” and slowly falling for each other except not realizing because theyve never really seen each other face to face (not counting that one time harry didn’t know it was him)
and then when they finally run into each other, there’s this moment where it hits harry that this famous con man he’s chasing down is 1. just really a kid 2. really familiar looking 3. winking at him and offering a chance to join the mile high club before harry puts him away “i am a pilot, after all.”
okay just like go listen to “life in living color” and tell me you dont want a catch me if you can au. (i mean, listen to the whole sound track, but at least that song)
Arranged Marriage AU where Harry is the king of one country
and Eggsy is the prince of another; their kingdoms have constantly been on the brink
of war, but they both desire peace. The only way to secure peace, however, is
through an arranged marriage. Because Eggsy is the only heir of King Lee’s that
is of age, he’s promised to King Harry.
Eggsy, of course, resents this and is completely against the
marriage. But at the same time, he knows that it’s his duty to do what he can
for his people, so he reluctantly goes along with it. Likewise, Harry is
apprehensive at the thought of marrying Eggsy (who is half his fucking age),
but his council has informed him that there’s no other way to establish peace,
so he has to go along with it too.
Neither of them has seen the other, so they’ve formed these
warped expectations of each other. Eggsy believes Harry to be this ridiculously old, snobbish, and stuck-up
asshole, while Harry expects Eggsy to be a spoiled, arrogant brat.
Imagine their surprise when they finally meet, a week before
the wedding. Harry is actually rather handsome for someone older (and he’s not
even that old), and Eggsy… Well,
Harry thinks he’s the most beautiful person he’s ever seen. Of course, things
are still awkward between them, but by the time the wedding rolls around, they’re
at least semi-comfortable with each other.
And then, after they’re married, they slowly fall in love.
There’s awkward flirting, not-so-subtle pining, and obvious lust. Then after months of this they finally sleep together
and everything is good and they rule their kingdoms together through the greatest era of peace they’ve ever known. *q*
Also, Roxy is King Harry’s ward and Eggsy’s first/closest
friend when he first comes to the kingdom. Merlin is Harry’s most trusted
advisor, while Chester is that one asshole in the court who’s more motivated by
furthering his own power than he is peace, so he tries to sabotage the marriage
by having Eggsy killed (thus sparking a war between the two countries) but he’s
thwarted in the end because happy endings
What if Harry had the chance to go back and save Lee Unwin with the caveat that Lee’s survival means that Harry and Eggsy likely would never become involved? Could he do it? Would he do it?
of course he’d fucking do it
He’d fucking do it and keep his distance. Because once he sees Eggsy starting to grow up with a positive male influence instead of Dean, he starts to wonder if maybe Eggsy only ever needed Harry to be a father figure to him.
He starts to doubt the romance of their relationship and wonder if he wasn’t just taking advantage of a vulnerable young man.
But of course that isn’t true.
And halfway through his teen years Eggsy starts following Lee to work to try and get a glimpse of “Mr. Hart.” And isn’t that awkward as fuck for poor Harry.
IS THAT DEAN VISITING EGGSY THE MORNING AFTER WHEN EGGSY’S ALL DRESSED UP IN HARRY’S CLOTHES AND HE’S A NEW MAN NOW (BECAUSE HE JUST PASSED THE TRAIN TEST OKAY WHAT ARE YOU GUYS THINKING) I WONDER DOES DEAN MAKE THE RENT BOY MISTAKE TOO DOES HE INSULT HARRY OH MY GOD I NEED THIS DVD LIKE TWO MONTHS AGO

3/26 Update: Sooooo my friends told me they will start making those beautiful necklace starting from 5/1, but the orders re already over like 300, so it might take some time for them to make it. The oversea’s proxy(including Hong Kong) might be released in summer 🙂 There’s a hell lot of handmade works to do lol
